We are a vibrant and culturally distinct community that represents Bengali Hindus who are an integral part of this Birmingham City for many decades. Currently we plan to run social, cultural and worship programs. We have a longstanding plan to establish a place for worshipping and community support activities that caters to the unique charateristics and needs of the Bengali Hindu Community and will serve as a spiritual and cultural hub for our community.

Anyone can be a general member of the organisation who agrees to the constitution of BSCO, UK. | Executive members will be elected from the general members based on a voting procedure. |
The diagram depicts how BSCO is structured now. We have a defined constitution to be followed. We are company house registered. Company Number 15140587. We have been conducting quarterly general meetings with all the members and also conducting periodic operational meetings to run the day to day activities like consulting with community physicians, fund raising etc. We are dedicated to your contentment with our exceptional community service.

It also serves as a harvest festival, celebrates nature's bounty and feminine power, and is a major cultural event marked by artistic idols, community festivities, and deep spiritual devotion
Kali Puja / Diwali 2025

Kali Puja is a deeply significant festival celebrating the goddess Kali as the destroyer of evil and the personification of divine feminine power, coinciding with Diwali. It symbolizes the triumph of good over evil and the importance of inner transformation, and is marked by vibrant celebrations, the lighting of oil lamps, the offering of hibiscus flowers, and festive meals featuring traditional Bengali dishes like khichuri. The festival also holds immense cultural value, reflecting Bengal's spiritual roots, artistic flair, and unique cultural identity.

Services
Spiritual Activities
- Hosting religious events and festivals that are significant in Bengali Hindu culture, Bhagbad Gita Studies and religious education.
- Religious rituals for families within our community in accordance with the cultural and religious values.
Physical and Mental Wellbeing
- Supporting community members who are genetically predisposed to several ailments such as diabetes and cardiac disease.
- Supporting growing incidences of dementia and Parkinson’s disease within the elderly members.
Skill Building and Training
- Tailored sessions for youths, adults and seniors. Equip them with skills to boost their employability and self confidence.
- Offer chances for locals to volunteer in community projects. This fosters a sense of belonging and responsibility.
One to One
- One to one support for autism spectrum and learning disabilities for our young children.
- We will run awareness campaigns for the prevention and management of these chronic disabilities in the form of monthly / quarterly seminars.
Women Empowerment
- Support and awareness programs for domestic violence, healthy diet and nutrition and communication skills for the women in our community.
- We will run English language and communication programs for our women many of whom struggle to access job and health support because of their lack of English language skills.
- We plan to establish a daycare center that will cater to mothers who have a working partner to ensure their young children receive culturally sensitive care and education.
